The Room-by-Room Workbook is for editing a home one room at a time. It works in three passes.

See it: photograph the room from the doorway, answer four questions before moving anything, and give the room a noise score out of 10. Edit it: sort what is there into Stays, Moves and Goes, write down where each moving thing will live, and choose one change for the week. Keep it: a short daily rhythm and a quarterly check-in, so the room holds.

There is one rule: nothing new is bought for a room until its Edit page is filled in. A fully worked living-room example shows what useful answers look like.

What’s inside
  • A visual-noise audit across six rooms
  • A fully worked living-room example
  • See and Edit spreads for six rooms: entry, living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and workspace
  • A palette page (60/30/10)
  • A storage page
  • A rhythm page with a quarterly check-in
  • A before/after page
Good to know
  • 21 pages, in US Letter and A4
  • Every answer space is fillable on a tablet. Or print single-sided and write in pencil
  • If you print, choose 100% (actual size)
  • Personal-use licence: for your own home, not for resale or sharing
  • Instant download. This is a digital file; nothing is shipped
Can I use it on a tablet?

Yes. Every answer space is fillable, so you can type straight into it in a PDF app. If you would rather write by hand, print it single-sided so the photo pages can take tape.

Will it tell me what to buy?

No. It asks you to decide what a room needs before buying anything. Each Edit page has a line for “before buying anything new” and a space for the storage the room actually needs, if any.

Do I have to do all six rooms?

No. Work one room at a time, in any order, and make one change a week. The workbook suggests an order, but each room’s pages stand alone.
